Craft Production and Design Division

Mission Statement

To equip students with skills in the production of quality assured Craft items and services, while developing numeracy and literacy as well as the implementation Computer Aided Design in all areas of study that will enhance students ability to function in chosen occupational areas efficiently and effectively in a modern technological environment.

History

The  Craft Production and Design Division was located at 237 Camp Street, Georgetown. It was established on January 1, 1978 as a separate Division, having evolved from the Community Development Division under the Ministry of  Co-operatives Development Division under the Ministry of  Co-operatives with Cde. Desmond Hoyte, S.C.,M.P., as Minister.

Over the years, the  Division was sustained by funds provided by Central Government as well as generation of its own resources through a Revolving Fund. This division was transferred to the  Ministry of Education on the 1st January  1995.
